なんとなく不思議なあいさつ文でしょう！
これは、あるPCソフト販売会社からのメールです。以前ソフトをインターネットで購入しようとしたのですが、先方の提示した支払い方法に不安を感じたので、その購入そのものをキャンセルしました。その後も特に問題は無く、無事にキャンセル処理を終えました。
きっと、キャンセル理由を知るために、このメールを送ったのだと思います。
たぶん相手は外国の人だと思います。（名前から推測）とてもすごい敬語でメールを送ってきています。翻訳ソフトを使いこなしているのだと思いますが、それなりに意味の通じる敬語で書かれていることがすごいと思います。
このメールをみて、すごいなぁ面白いなぁと思うと同時に、自分自身が誰かにメールを送るとき相手からみたら「変だぞ！」と思われるような言い方をしていないだろうか？と、ちょっと心配になりました。
一応意識して正しい敬語を使うように努力していますし、文章は何度も読み返して何を言っているか相手にわかるように工夫しているつもりです。それでも、これはあくまでも伝える側の価値観であり、相手の価値観と全く合致するということは無いわけです。
たとえば、あまりに丁寧すぎて、冷たい感じや慇懃無礼な感じを与えているかもしれないとか、こちらはわかりやすく書いたつもりでも、相手が何か違った解釈をされているかもしれない、といったことです。
相手の目線で見るために、メールの場合は、正しく伝わっているかの確認をするということ、できればリアルタイムにお互いに不快感を感じていないか誤解がないかなどを確認できる、電話や面談でのコミュニケーションを取るようにすることなど、あらためて必要だな、と感じました。
桜島のドカ灰
鹿児島市内およびその近くにおられる方はご存じでしょうけれど、桜島の灰は薩摩半島に降りそそいでいます。「灰が降らなきゃ鹿児島はもっと住みやすいのにねぇ」というセリフがついつい出てしまいます。
しかし、子供は遊びの天才ですね。今朝、小学生が歩道のなだらかなスロープで灰が積もっている場所を、まるでスケートをするように滑る格好で、楽しそうに降りていくのを見ました。危ないと思うより楽しそうだなぁ、という感じをうけました。
そんな楽しみ方だけでなく、桜島を含む火山のおかげで鹿児島は温泉の恩恵をうけ、観光資源としても多くのお客様をよんでくれています。でもそれらは忘れて、うらみがましいことを言ってしまいます。
今起きている悪いことがらだけをとらえるのでなく、普段してくれていることに目を向け認めるようにしなきゃ、と思いました。

８月２２日から約５ヵ月間の予定で、中国上海の荊 雨晴（じん ゆうちん）と暮らし始めました。
彼女は１６歳。中２の時から日本語を勉強していて、日常会話は問題なく日本語で通じあえるのでこれまでよりずいぶん楽です。それもそのはずで、日本語能力検定試験の２級まで合格しています。日本人の英語力で言うとＴＯＥＩＣ７５０点くらいの実力はあるということでしょうか。
でも、ときどき主語や述語をちゃんと伝えないことでおこる誤解もあります。
先日も、天文館に買い物に行きたいというので一人で自転車で行かせました。道は車で通りながら説明したから大丈夫！我が家から天文館へは自転車で１５分程度。気になるのは駐輪場の場所を知らないということでした。私の記憶で、以前は天文館中央公園には何台もの自転車やバイクを駐輪しているところがありました。『きっと中央公園なら停められるでしょう、もしだめだったら誰かに「駐輪場はどこですか？」と聞いてみてね』、と送り出しました。
しばらくして彼女から電話で「駐輪場はどこですか、と聞いたらこの公園には無い」と言われたということ。そうかぁ、私が町中の駐輪場、と言わなかったので公園の駐輪場を探してたんだな、ということがわかりました。結局停められる場所がみつかり、無事にショッピングを楽しんだようです。
日本語が分かるということと、言いたいことが正しく伝わることとは違うんだなぁと改めて納得しました。
ちなみに、焼き鳥を食べに行ったとき、「これは何？」と訊くので「鳥皮」と答えたら「鳥に皮肉の皮ですね」と言った彼女は漢字の音読みが得意で訓読みが苦手なようです。
整理の達人はおもてなしの達人
先日、お会いしたTさんは、頭の整理の達人でした。
要職についておられるので、膨大な量の情報に囲まれて仕事をしておられると思うのですが、面談の約束をいただいてからお伺いしたときに、６年前の私が載った新聞記事を用意しておられました。
その新聞記事は色あせるでもなく、きれいに切り取られてファイルされていました。その記事を取っておいてくださったこともとてもうれしかったのですが、１０日ほど前に電話でお約束したのにもかかわらず、ちゃんと探し出せていることが驚きでした、
おききするとご本人の情報の整理法が確立されて継続されていました。本棚キャビネットに立ててあった新聞記事のファイルは、私の記事のような古い物も含めてたった４冊でした。（１冊あたりの暑さは3ｃｍ程度）
さらに詳しくお聞きしたのですが、ブログでの紹介はＮＯということだったので詳しくご紹介できないのが残念です。
ともあれ、そういう整理ができているから、たまに会う人でもその方の情報を容易に手にすることができ、話題が広がったり、何よりも相手を嬉しい気持ちにすることができる、これも大切な心遣いだと思いました。

昨日の番組ではたくさんのメッセージがあったのですが、後半は夢を持ちそれを実現するために行動することの大切さを伝えておられました。

自分を知って就職決定！
本日、弊社が実施している基金訓練のスタートしてから２ヶ月半のコース（６か月コース）で、１名就職が決まり退校いたしました。
おめでとうございます！
その方のお話が印象深かったのでご紹介いたします。
そのコースは事務系の仕事に就くために役立つ、簿記，人事労務，パソコン基礎，コミュニケーション，社会人基礎力などを学ぶカリキュラムで構成されています。
その中の、簿記実習という科目は、かなり多くの時間を割いて、簿記２級取得を目指した内容です。
彼女は、これまでいろいろな仕事を経験してきました。そして、そろそろ将来を考えて「クーラーが効いている中で仕事ができ、体力的にも年を取ってからも働ける」という理由から事務職を希望しこのコースを選んだということでした。
ところが、簿記の授業を受け続けていくうちに、ずっとパソコンの前に座り仕事をしていくことが、自分にとっては「嫌なこと」だということに気付いたそうです。
そのためか、それからの彼女の行動力は素晴らしく、「いろいろな事をして、動き回る仕事」を求め求職活動を行い、僅かの時間で就職を決めました。
『１０年，２０年先のことまでは、まだ考えられないけど、自分のとっては少なくとも「活き活きと働けることが大事」だと気づき、そういう仕事に就けました。』とお話していただき、平素から『自分にとっての幸せな仕事人生』の実現を支援している弊社にとって、とてもうれしいご報告でした。

タイトルのセリフですが、最近立て続けにお聞きしました。
どなたも新しい一歩を踏み出そうか、それともやめようか迷っている方たちです。
そういう場合私がお尋ねするのは「確かにそうだね、それは変えられないね。」の後に、
「それで…どうなりたいんだっけ？」「何をしたいんだっけ？」「自分の人生はどうなったら幸せなんだっけ？」
ということです。
女性に限らずだれでもそうだと思うのですが、道に迷った時は自分が立ち止まる（または後戻りする）理由を探していると思います。「○○だし…○○だし…」の○○がまさにその理由なんでしょう。
一人の方は私が何度も「それで、何をしたいのですか？」を聞いたので、戸惑っておられましたがその問いに対する答えを探しているうちに、ご自分の中でぴかっと光る答えを見つけ出されたようで、涙ぐんでしまわれました。（泣かしてごめんなさい）彼女のでてきた答えはいたってシンプルでした。そして、今考える必要があることは「そのために何をどんな風にやっていくか」という具体的な計画だったんです。
きっと彼女のように、「○○だし…○○だし…」を排除して自問自答してみると、意外にシンプルに行動を起こすことができるんだと思います。

IT業界に長く身を置いていたからか、表題のセリフは若いころから耳にたこができるほど聞いておりました。
仕事というのは完成までに上流工程から下流工程まで多くの人の手を経てできていくもの。だから、自分の工程は次工程の人が仕事しやすいように気を配って行うべきものだ、ということ。
「次の工程の人がちゃんとやってくれるだろうから、自分はこの程度で次に渡せばいいや」とか「多少遅れても誰かがなんとかしてくれるだろう」というのは大間違い。次の工程の人も外部のお客様と同じと考え、そのお客さまにとって最適なものを最適な時期に納品しなければならない、ということです。
最近、外部にはマナー良くふるまうけど、内部の人に対してはつっけんどんでいい加減な態度というような話を見聞きしたので、この言葉を思い出しました。

不成功の原因は今探求中ですが、そのチャレンジのために出来ることはすべてやった、ベストは尽くしたという完了感があったので、成功しなかったことにそれほど大きな落ち込みはありません。
逆に、このチャレンジのために多くの方のご協力をいただけたことが収穫であったし、また成功に至らなかった旨を文書でご報告したところ、その中の何人もの方から、次のチャレンジの時にはまた声をかけてくださいね、おっしゃっていただきました。
私たちがこの何年もの間大切にしてきた”人を大切にすること”が、ちゃんと成長し実を結んできているんだなぁと実感できました。
そのことについて私のコーチと話をしていたら、「不成功からの学びを儀式化する」ことも大切だよ、と教えていただきました。大体、成功したときは大々的にお祝いするけど、不成功の場合は何もしないかせいぜい少数で残念会なるものを行って終わってしまう。でも、人は不成功から多くのことを学ぶはずだから、何が学べたのかをお互いに話し合う機会を作ることが次につながる、というようなことでした。
